"At the beginning, my daughter couldn't understand or speak English at all. Now that she has spent six months in this school. She knows all of her classmate's names, speaks some English and sings English songs. And she likes her teachers at this school. She also enjoys the field trips and annual events. We are not good at English, but the teachers always help our child and us to have a good time at the school. I like that at this school, there are many kids from other countries that my daughter can play and learn with." -Chika T, Mom of Little Star
"Every day of my son's first year at Little People ended with a hug and an "I love you" from Ms. Welch. He was a shy and sensitive two year old and she took such special care of him. By the time he was in Mrs. A's class, he really began to open up and came home everyday EXCITED about whatever project they were working on. Now in Ms. Dorothy and Ms. Michelle's class, he's confident and proud. He asks me daily, "Mommy, do you want to know something amazing I did at school today?" Whether he's explaining the life cycle of a butterfly or showing me the sticker he earned for progress in his writing...he beams. He's also built great friendships at Little People. As an only child, its been critical to his socialization to make the connections he has there. The staff is really wonderful; everyone of his teachers has helped him develop. And Ms. Tiwana...she's a gem! She's really dedicated and goes above and beyond to keep the families engaged. Above all, I know that my child is safe, loved and encouraged. That means the world to me. -Serena S., Mom of Achiever
Thank you for thinking of such a great event and hosting it for our children. As a bi racial parent of a bi racial daughter it is important to me to raise my daughter in in environment that is aligned with my values and beliefs.
Little people learning center has continued to exceed in providing my child with the necessary fundamentals to enhance her development while at the same time remaining consistent with the values I believe in.
The multicultural event was fabulous and not only did my daughter learn about other countries where her classmates are from but I learned some new things as a parent that I had never learned when I attended this event.
Keep up the good work and the ideas that continue to add value to our children lives.
I am truly grateful for the program and all the staff who work hard to see our future leaders succeed.
Thank you and God bless you all.

"Little People is one of the best day care centers in Hyde Park in my opinion and definitely the most optimal one. " -Vlad M, Dad of graduate (from Yelp!)
"Little People Learning Center (LPLC) has been an integral part of my family's life since 2011. After moving back to Chicago, I needed to find a nurturing, caring and reliable facility to place my first born. He was 3 years old at the time, and I still had the new mommy's syndrome; however, the instant we stepped foot into LPLC, all my worries were eased and at peace. Five years later, I now have a second child attending LPLC. He too started at the age of 3. LPLC re-welcomed our family with open arms and hearts. From the nurturing staff, to open communication, to invigorating and individualized curriculum - I couldn't have made a better choice for my family. Thank you Little People Learning Center for caring for my kids as if they were your own. We truly appreciate what you do. Keep up the great work!" - Ashley R., Mom of graduate and Little Star
"...They let the kids be who they are, while teaching them what they'll need to know for pre-school. The two greatest pluses about this place are A. it's affordable and B. the class is very diverse. There are kids from all over the globe here and I think that in and of itself is one of the most valuable lessons that can be taught to a young child in our ever shrinking world." -Vincent J., Dad of graduate (from Yelp!)
Dear Little People
I and my family would like to thank you for all that you did for our daughter Peninah Feldman. Peninah attended Little People for 2 years and 9 months until starting kindergarten. At 3 years of age she received the nurturing she needed from Little People to feel safe and secure. Although she was nervous and missed home initially, it gave me comfort to know that she was in safe hands. At 3-5 years of age she received the foundations of learning and socialization necessary for her to succeed in kindergarten. At all times the discipline was a great component to her success. Additionally, I do not think she will ever have so much fun in school as she did at Little People. The parties and field trips were simply awesome. She has so many great memories that will carry her through any rough patch she might experience in kindergarten. Peninah attends NTA (National Teachers Academy). She was able to test into the gifted program at the school. I truly feel that Little People had a great part in giving Peninah the confidence and knowledge to not only test into the program but do well in this rigorous kindergarten setting. Peninah still talks about Little People and made a point to go back and visit Little People the first week of kindergarten to hug the teachers and show off her new uniform. She has specifically requested to go back to Little People when the Chicago Public Schools are closed for holidays. This request truly says it all. Our family will be forever grateful to Little People.
